April Updates

Hello all,

Just thought that I would update everyone on what has been happening in our lives the past couple of weeks. We still have a few boxes left to unpack, mostly in the garage and the bathroom of all places!) Our house is definatly feeling like home now and I can't believe that we have been in for a month already - where does the time go? It has been pretty busy with work and everything that has happened in the last 2 weeks so here we go...

On April 4th I went to see our friends newest edition to the family this is baby number 4 and she is the spitting image of her oldest brother. Very cute and cuddly, the other 3 are getting big as well - it is amazing how much they change when you don't see them all the time or see pictures of them. The family is doing really well and seem to have life and family figured out. It was very good to see and I had a great visit with everyone.

April 7th we went to a surprise 25th anniversery party for some good friends of ours - it was a great success as SA tried to back out of the door she was so shocked. It was nice to catch up with some other friends we have not seen in a while. The next day we were up and out of the house very early to catch the boat to Victoria for my fathers wedding (everyone kept singing the Alanis Morrisette song My Daddy's Getting Married for about a week!). It was a very beautiful ceremony, very simple and they only had thier closest friends and family attend. It was very nice because Heather included me in her getting ready for the big day with here daughers Stacey and Nickki. All of us girls had a part, Nickki and I signed for Dad and Heather and Stacey was the ring bearer. Paul's part was to keep dad calm and help take coats and get people to sign the guest book. After the ceremony we did the formal family pictures. It is still a bit wierd to think that Dad is married again and that I have a stepmom and 2 stepsisters. Truth be told I could not be happier for my dad as Heather is perfect for him in every way and I hve never seen him happier.

Paul and I had to pick them up on Wednesday night and run them out to the airport as they were leaving the next day to go on their honeymoon. We also had a band practice on Thursday night for Easter Sunday and it was really nice to sing again and to play in a band with Paul, Sean and Jinx. We played on Sunday morning and I think it went really well, church was packed and we had alot of fun.

Paul and I also went to Ikea on Good Friday and dragged my mom along and we FINALLY bought our bedroom suite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited so Paul spent the next 2 days building it all. We got 2 new dressers, 2 bedside tables, King bedframe and mattress and a couch for the spare room. If any one is interested check out www.ikea.com and it is the Hemnes in the antique stain that we bought. It looks really good in the room and we still have room to walk around the bed!

Anyways that about catches everyone up on the exciting lives of Paul and Tammi.

pssstt...it's Bif Naked, not Alanis who sings that song :)

I hope she's not an evil stepmother! then again, you don't live with them, so the likelyhood of getting locked in the cellar is quite slim.
