Wow, I can't believe that it has been a month since I last updated this thing! We have been crazy busy with life and work and all the usual stuff. I have not had a weekend to relax in a while and am really looking forward to having the long weekend and with my flex day I get 4 days off! Yeah!!!
For the rest of April I spend the 21 - 23 up at Camp Artaban on a work party weekend. It was great - we had beautiful weather and we got a lot of work done. It was nice to be back up there and to get ready for the summer. The next weekend Paul and I attended a good friends wedding. She looked stunning and so did the groom and the rest of the wedding party. I was asked to do a reading at the wedding so that was really nice to share a part of the ceremony. It was nice to see so many old friends and to be able to catch up with people we have not seen in almost 2 years!! We found out the one person is now a doctor living in Boston!?! Paul was laughing because he had the same conversation with this person at the wedding as he did when the this person was 16 years old and of course it was about a girl!
May 5 - 7 I was back up at camp with St. Cuthbert's for the parish work weekend. They did an amazing job re-doing the chaple last spring so this year we concentrated on the old chape and still did amazing work. You can really feel the presence of God during this weekend as so much great work got done and in the rain. It was just nice to hang out with really good friends and rebuild on existing friendships. I was pretty stiff and sore for a couple of days after the weekend but it was the feeling of a job well done as well.
Last weekend Paul and I had both of our moms over on Sunday for Mother's Day. Paul worked out his schedule so that he was able to go into work later so we could spend the day with them. It turned out better than I thought and we had tonnes of food left over. Oh well, it meant that I didn't have to cook.
Work is going really well for both of us and just keeps getting busier for me. They have hired another person to help our Manager out but I just got told that I will still be doing a bunch of work for him and another program as well as my regular work load. Oh well at least I get my wage increase soon.
