Update

I have been trying to figure out for a few days now what kind of mood I am in and I honestly can't figure it out. I think I am happy and excited about our new townhouse, really sad about leaving where we are as Jaime, Karim and the kids have become family to us, I hate the mess that we are living in right now as I am trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff before we move and we have boxes piled everywhere. I feel bad for the cat as she does not go what is going on right now and is quite freaked out about everything and the poor thing has to get a tooth pulled today.

We have started organizing for our move, which is 1 month today - AAAHHHH! I am a little freaked out with the little amount of time that we have to pack everything up as this weekend I am at a wedding on Saturday and then next week we go away for 4 days and then Paul is back to work for 4 days and then we move in 2 weeks. I think I might have to call my mom or Paul's mom to see about having them come over and help us and by us I mean me!!

This weekend was good thought, I had 2 phone calls from good friends, one in England and the other in Saskatchewan - it was nice to catch up with both of them as I miss them both terribly.

I also got told by Zakhir last night that he is going to miss me more than Paul as I am always at his basketball games and play video games with him and air hockey. I am really going to miss seeing him everyday but I know that he will come over and visit lots.

Well gotta run as I got a phone call saying that there is more boxes available for me to pick up!!!

Rant about Nothing!

Okay, So apparently my rant about last weekend was about nothing as I think Paul and I have found our home. We went and looked at a place last night and Paul was the one that fell in love with it. I had a really good look around and have come to the decision that I really do love it as well. We did the pro's and con's list and the only con that was on the list is that it only has 1 bathroom. We have lived with only 1 toilet since marriage and can continue to do so. It is also brand new (1 owner and 1 year old), 2 bedrooms and a den that could be a bedroom, stainless appliances, alarm, 2 parking spots, end unit, 3 levels, maple hardwood floors and carpet upstiars and more. If anyone is interested the MLS # is F2601477 if you want to check it out. Anyway, we are going to make an offer tonight on it.

Please pray for us that we get the house at the price that we want it for...We have already talked about if they won't meet our price we are willing to walk away from it as we know what we can afford and we are not going to be stupid about it

The saga continues and we will let you all know soon......

What a weekend!

Well it was an interesting weekend.

Firday after work I went and looked at 2 townhouses in Surrey, I met my mom and Zafer there and we went and toured the first one - it was beautiful but outside our price range by about $30,000. It was big enough but there was not a lot of cupboard space and the master bedroom was a touch on the small side. The second one that we looked at you could not pay me to live there. The idea for us to get our own place is to not have anyone above or below me and at this one there was another unit just below us and it was a really weird layout! We then went out for dinner after this. I then went home and crashed I was so tired.

Saturday morning I woke up at around 9:00am and discovered that there was no power as a major storm blew through during the night. The people upstairs had asked me to keep and ear out for the kids as Jaime was out of town and Karim had to work. At about 11:00 the kids called me and asked me to hang out with them upstairs where it was light and warm. We then went out for lunch and they worked on homework all afternoon and I tried to read by candlelight (not a easy as it sounds!) They then asked me if I wanted to go to the Monster Truck Show with them that night, off we went - it was much better than hanging around a dark cold house. The power of course came on just as we were leaving for the night (about 6:30).

The next day we had another appointment to view a place and Paul was able to come this time. It was alright but not what I wanted. I was kind of upset with my mom as she was trying really hard to push us into making an offer on it and then put about 10,000 into renovations and new appliances for it. Paul and I said no as the area was not one that we want to live in!!! We then went out to the Oswalds were their other friends came by and we played Pictonary and Hoopla a fun evening had by all.

Glad it's Friday

Wow am I ever glad that it is Friday today. I am exhasted, I feel like I have been going all week long - oh wait I have been! Paul has been at home really sick all week, I have been working and trying to house hunt at the same time and everything else that needs to be done.

I had to pick my mother-in-law up at the airport last night so I phone and they said the plane was about 30 minutes late, I got to the airport at about 5:15 and then found out the plane was not going to arrive until 7:10pm. I walked around for a while, bought a book, had dinner and people watched. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I booked our vacation with the Oswalds last night. We are going up to Kamloops for 4 nights and probably to a couple of Blazers hockey games (not the wives choice!) I think we are going to have a really good time and it is still pretty reasonable, it is going to cost less than $300 per couple to stay at the hotel for that long, plus they have a continental breakfast and we have a kitchen in our room. I am really looking forward to it and I know that Paul, Garth and Mary are as well.
